Here’s some more information on what you can expect when you attend:
The camps are small in number with a maximum of 8 people and I’ll be with you the whole time. With a small number, it allows us to interact throughout each session for 5 days. We are in constant dialogue and there is also great interchange between the other campers.
The activity sessions are as hearty as you want to make them. We do ride on the Queen K ( Ironman course ) and also have one day allocated to swim on the IM course, Kailua Pier. The distance is varied depending upon desire, fitness, and interest from 1500m to completing the entire swim course. This includes riding from the pier back to Four Seasons. Again, I am with you on these sessions in the ocean or on the bike.
All days are choreographed to include at least three purpose-driven activity sessions. These include videotaping your technique and having me dissect and provide objective and detailed biomechanics assessment. Equally important, I will provide the skills and drills to make the corrections. I have a darn good eye and these sessions, both active and video review, are one of the highlights of the camp.
There is also ongoing discussion and four specific chats that are embedded in the agenda spread out over the days. Getting the maximal ROI is a key tenet of all discussions.
One of the daily activity sessions includes mobility, stretching, and strength training. I also provide a detailed and customized program for each attendee post-camp. After working with everyone for the week, the program is specific in exercises, sets, repetitions, and notes to address your personal issues.
The catered room that we hang out in also houses your gear, plus you can leave your bike in the locked room. It’s within 30 meters of the gym, the pool, and the lavish locker facilities at FS. If you need to ship your bike to Nick ( Velofix ) he is our guy that drives, makes adjustments, and is with us on all rides.
